Prema Katha Chitram

Prema Katha Chitram has got only 4 characters playing the main role in the entire movie and there is no dull moment in the film to particularly mention. After a slow start, movie continues with some funny and interesting episodes between Praveen, Giri, Nandita and Sudhir. Interval bang is the main attraction for the film and the tempo keeps on continuing throughout the second half as well.  By the end of first half, audience start to think that second half will have more thrilling episodes, but director changes the genre here.

Prema Katha Chitram has been made within a budget of 2 crores but the technically the film is excellent. Cinematography, music and art are the major assets. Entire credit goes to Maruthi and director J.Prabhakar Reddy for selecting a simple story and making it more entertaining with brilliant screen-play and dialogues.

Technical Aspects

Music & Background Score by J.B are nice and re-recording is another highlight for the film. Cinematography by J.Prabhakar Reddy is good and so is the editing by S.B Uddhav. Story and dialogues by Maruti are the life for Prema Katha Chitram. Production Values of RPA Creations & Maruti Media House are good.

Performances

This film is definitely a turning point for Sudheer Babu. His dance moves and expressions in the intense sequences are good. Nandita is pretty and has given fabulous performance. This is girl is here to stay. Praveen and Giri are the comic relief in the film and both these comedians were given equal space in the screen along with the lead actors

After watching director Ashok’s previous flick Pilla Zamindar, audience will enter the theater thinking that this film might also be in the same genre. Adding to this, makers of the film and the director have promoted the film as a wholesome family entertainer. Excluding a couple of scenes, rest of the film looked very pale.  Each and every artist did their job but lack of punch in the comedy episodes and a routine story made the things go bad. Another annoying thing is the back ground music in the comedy episodes which makes the audience feel as an alarm that a funny scene was just completed.  Aadi has improved a lot as an actor and his dances, fights are good but he should be more careful while selecting the scripts.

Technicalities

Music by Anoop Rubens and cinematography by Sai Sreeram are good. Lot of scenes in the movie were like Cut, Copy & Paste as the flow was missing. Nothing to blame editor Pravin Pudi as it’s a mistake from Director Ashok’s end. Dialogues are average. Finally, director Ashok made a film which is not upto the mark but that doesn’t mean that he is a bad technician. His love towards Telugu nativity in his films must be definitely appreciated but nothing went right in this film.

Performances

Aadi acted with ease and full marks for his dances and fights. Nisha Agarwal looked good and glamorous especially in songs. Veteran actress Sharada’s role was superb. Rao Ramesh was as usual good. Nothing much to say about others as JP, MS Narayana, Raghu Babu, Thagubothu Ramesh etc have done their job. Super Star Krishna appeared in a brief role and made his presence felt.

Action 3D

Action 3D is heavily inspired from the Hollywood film Hangover and some dialogues have 
been lifted from couple of hit Bollywood movies.  However, 3D effects in the movie are 
good and the songs are the life for the film. In spite of mistiming, each and every song 
has been well choreographed. Action 3D film has got perfect casting and if the director 
have taken much care about dialogues.

There are lots of loopholes in the movies and some scenes don’t have a proper thread. For 
example, Bava and his gang take drugs and don’t remember the things that they have done 
the other night, but Bava saves children from slavery by paying the agent and preaches 
him values about life. On the flip side, the makers of Action 3D didn’t disappoint the 
audience with regards to the 3D effects.  Some of the comedy scenes were boring and the 
pun didn’t work. Action 3D film can be watched for some good 3D effects , Songs and some 
comedy scenes.

Technical Aspects

Special appreciation for 3D technician Keith Driver and Cinematographer Sarvesh Murari. 
Songs by Bappa-Bappi Lahari are good and they have been well choreographed too. Ding 
Dong, Swathi Muthyapu and Ramachilaka songs are extra-ordinary. Editing by MR Varma is 
just ok and dialogues could have been better.  Not a great film but Anil Sunkara must be 
appreciated for his sincere 3D effort and some good visuals.

Performances

Allari Naresh is as usual good and has done each and every scene with ease. Eega fame Sudeep appreared in an entertaining cameo role. Raju Sundaram is hilarious at times with his one liner. Vaibhav and Kick Shyam are apt for the role.Neelam Upadhyay looked charming in the songs and Sneha Ullal sizzled in Ding Dong song. Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Master Bharat etc have done their job.

Teluguone Perspective: The movie is a worth watching for its action scenes. The story line is an old one but, the directors perspective, Camera work, Suriya's Powerful dialogues and Performance made the movie a special one. For Few fights we get Goose bumps. No doubt, Youth Imagine themselves in the powerful character. The movie is completely in a Linear narration. No flashbacks stuff. A worth watching movie but not twice. Marks can be given only for Action part. Amount of comedy, Sentiment, romance were missing.

Performances: Surya's Performance is really good. His action as a powerful police officer, his fiery looks, his dialogue delivery gave extra powerfulness to his character. Hansika's acting is better. The comedy done by santhanam is humorous enough. There is not much character for Anuska but still she did well. The new Hollywood villain was not up to the mark. His intro was scary. And rest did justice to their part well.

Technicalities: The Cinematography of priyan is quite undeniable.  The music composition gave the movie extra strength and Devi sri prasad with no doubt has given his best.

Greeku Veerudu

Generally we see film makers and actors stating that their film has got entirely different story and their role in the film is first of its kind. But, even before the release of 'Greeku Veerudu', Nagarjuna said that this is a perfect family entertainer and the film will be in the lines of Santosham, Mr Perfect and Manmadhudu movies. There is nothing new in the story but the theme is good and it has been equally supported with some good dialogues and screenplay.

Music and Background Music by SS Thaman is one of the major asset for the film. All the songs were choreographed well and the audience will be surprised to see the dance moves of Nagarjuna in the songs 'I Hate Love Stories' and 'Osi Na Bangaram'. Talking about the other side, CG shots were not up to the mark and movie slowly loses the pace in the second half but the director tried to cover it up with some funny episodes of Brahmanandam.

Performances

Nagarjuna looked handsome as usual and its surprising to see the kind of dedication that the actor showed in some of the songs. Nayanatara is another asset for the film and she has filled the screen with her matured look and looked more beautiful in the songs. Meera Chopra had nothing much to do but has done her job in the limited role that she was offered. Though there is nothing new to deliver, K Vishwanath garu was good and made his presence felt. Brahmanandam, MS Narayana will bring smiled to the audience. Aashish Vidhyarthi, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Raghu Babu, Sudha and other artists did their job.

Technicalities

As mention earlier, SS Thaman's music and BGM is a major plus for the film. Cinematography by Anil Bandari was ok and could have been much better. Action and chase sequences composed by Vijay were good. Dialogues by Dasarath and Praveen Varma are good. Except for the cg shots, rest of the production values looked grand.

Tadakha

Right the from the time 'Thadaka' movie was started, one question was doing rounds within the Telugu cinema lovers. “Who Will be given more importance, Naga Chaitanya or Sunil ?”. The answer is, director gave more importance to the story and screenplay. Both the actors have delivered their best performances , which is a big asset for the film. Director took lot of care to make sure that entertainment, action and drama are equally mixed according to the Telugu nativity. On the flip side, the scene where Naga Chaitanya runs faster than a train looked too much. One of the major highlights in the original movie was the chemistry between Madhavan and Sameera Reddy and the director has completely ignored that part in 'Thadaka'.

Technicalities

Cinematography by Arthur Wilson is nice and editing by Gautham Raju is perfect as usual. Though SS Thaman disappointed with the audio, visually songs were good and the BGM as well. Art by AS Prakash is good. Dolly has scored good marks as a director with this film. Production values of Sai Ganesh Productions are grand.

Performances

Naga Chaitanya has improved a lot in every department. His dialogue delivery sounded much better in this film. Chaitanya succeeded to fit into the shoes of a mass hero. Sunil has delivered his best performance and entertained as a coward cop in the first half and he steals the show in the second half as a powerful police officer. Tamanna is one of the major asset for the film and she sizzled in the song 'Maara o Maara'. Andrea looked beautiful but she has got not much to do in the film. Ashutosh Rana was good and Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore, DMK (Murali) Jp etc have done their job.

Something Something

Something Something movie has got a clean comedy and the entire first half is filled with hilarious episodes. Thanks to Brahmanandam, who carried the film upon his shoulders throughout the first half. As mentioned earlier, dialogues in the movie are the best part in the film. Entire credit goes to the director Sundar C for the screenplay and the casting of the actors. Overall. Something Something might not be a best film in Siddharth's carrer, but compared to his films in the recent times, this can be termed  as a better one. Samantha and Rana Daggubati have done cameo appearances in the film.

Performances

It's a cake walk character for Siddharth in this film. Full marks for the actor as a shy and an introvert guy. Hansika looked charming and gorgeous throughout the film. Brahmanandam has steals the show once again with his hilarious dialogue delivery. Ganesh Venkatraman was good and other artists did their job.

Technicalities

Dialogues by Veligonda Srinivas are too good with loads of punches. Music and BGM by Sathya is ok. Gopi Amarnath's cinematography is of top notch and so is the editing by  Praveen and Srikanth. Sundar has once again delivered his best in Screenplay and direction departments.

First half of the movie ruined the interest of audience. But second half some how managed to bring back the interest with some nail biting scenes. Director might have forgot his 'something different and new' mark in this movie. The story is a bit similar to mummy. Locations, art work, fights made the audience stay back at their seats. Though it is an adventurous flick, few elements like comedy, romance were missing. BGM was good. But director might have not given much priority to the songs. They are very poor.

Performances: Gopichand's performance is better. The fights he did were good enough. And  ali's comedy was really poor. Tapsee did her part well. Even shakthi kapoor and suman were up to the mark. There are not much characters in the movie that we can really praise.

Technicalities: The Cinematography of shyam dutt is undoubtedly good .  The BGM played a very keen role  for the movie. composition done by sri  with no doubt has given his best.

Going by the previous films of director Meher Ramesh, one can easily understand that he is a director who gives a lot of importance to the style factor rather than script. But, when there is nothing new in the story, director needs to take a lot of care in screenplay and dialogues to make the film gripping. Meher Ramesh has once again failed in these departments. After an energetic and a well choreographed tittle song, audience will definitely expect a lot but leaving behind the production values, nothing seemed to be good.

Every director works hard on the script and everyone wants success. When a director is given a chance to make a film with a star like Venkatesh, more concentration should be made on the script rather than spending hefty amount on grandeur. It is really sad to see one of the best actor's of Telugu cinema in such a poor film.

Performances

Venkatesh is one of the best actors in Telugu cinema and there is nothing new to say about his dedication and acting skills. Taapsee looked glamorous specially in the songs. Aditya Pancholi looked good as a don. Srikanth and Madhurima are just ok. Same goes with MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagwan, Srinivasa Reddy and JP. Rahul Dev, Naga Babu and Geetha etc have done their job.

Technicalities

Music by SS Thaman in just ok and the BGM is good. Cinematography by Prasad Murella is fine. Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan has provided the story which is nothing new to the Telugu cinema audience. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh could have been much better. Art work by AS Prakash is good.

Ravitjeja, son of prakash raj is a guy working in Bank as a recovery executive. He come across a girl and falls in love with her. But she already gets engaged previously. The guy(sesh adivi) who engaged with sruthi already, calls his father in law to tackle the issue. When Poorna( father in law) who is rowdy in vizag comes and sees raviteja, he gets shocked and reveals that he is a rowdy sheeter previously worked under him. Who is raviteja actually? And what is his background? All these should be a must watch rather saying.

The story Balupu is not completely an action entertainer like everybody thinks, it has major amount comedy in it. Director narrated the story with action, comedy and sentiment in equal amounts.
But few hilarious acts done by brahmanandam and raviteja through out the movie has bought some tummy ache. They have used the name 'Pawan kalyan' in a scene completely along with bandla ganesh imitation, which turned up the silent hall into a whistling and yelling arena.

Most ofl the movie credits goes to writer, Raviteja and brahmanandam. After a long time, raviteja is blessed with a hit. Director Gopichand malineni is the person behind this successful movie. He brought Mass Maharaja back on track. Raviteja's rough getup with beard, brought some fierce and stylish look in the second half.

The movie is a worth watching for its comedy and action scenes. Even the story was good but with the routine backdrop of two rowdy rival gangs. The variation shown by the director for raviteja between 1st half and second half is perfect and interesting. After a long time, raviteja was shown with beard which gave him some rough look in the movie. The movie was narrated in non-linear narration. After raviteja's back to back flops, he has got a perfect hit. The movie is a must watch for comedy lovers and the movie is going to be Mass maharaja's monsoon dhamaka. And definitely we should say that this is a magic done by Writer Kona venkat with his story.

Performances: Ravitejas performance was as usual in the 1st half. And in second half it was more good and showed his old style. even prakash raj was as usual with his acting. where as brahmanandam created some humor with his outstanding performance. Sruthi hasan and anjali were up to the mark. And rest of all did their task perfectly with no errors.

Technicalities: The taking was quite routine like other movies in the first half. Coming to second half, camera did a lot of work. Fights were good and music played a vital role in the movie.

Devi Prasad’s music, Puri Jagannath’s dialogues, Allu Arjun’s stylish appearance, Brahmanandam’s comedy, Amala Paul’s performance and Catherine’s  glamour made first half look good.

After  a very good first half, one will definitely think that second half of the movie might on the same note. But thing’s turned quite opposite. The comedy track between Ali and Brahmanandam was boring, so was the film, with predictable scenes. A major twist is revealed to the audience before the interval and thereafter nothing will sound interesting as the hero starts his hunt for the villain and the film becomes a revenge drama all of a sudden. Thanks for the Top Lechipodhi song, which appears in the movie while the pace is low and Allu Arjun, Catherine made the song look much better with their moves.  The twist in the climax makes the film somewhat interesting but it will be followed by a routine fight sequence.

Technical Aspects

Ten out of ten for Puri Jagannath as a dialogue writer. His writing abilities are the major asset for the film. Devi Sri Prasad’s music and BGM is good. Cinematography by Amol Rathod is fine. SR Sekhar has done his job as an editor. Production values of Parameswara Arts banner are grand. All the choreographers needs to be appreciated as each and every song was well composed.

Performances

Allu Arjun has done justice for his tag Stylish Star. He looked super cool in the film and his dances are wonderful. Amala Paul looked apt for the traditional girl character and she did her job. Catherine Tresa filled the entire movie with her glamour and she is a visual treat. Brahmanandam has once again entertained as Phidel Bramha. Ali’s Mental Krishna episode can be chopped off. Rao Ramesh has a brief role but made his presence felt.
